The foundation

Montserrat Caballé's dream in her last years was, to create a Foundation and keep her International Singing Competition alive as a springboard for future generations of Young talents.

In order to see her wishes fulfilled, we have decided to create the Foundation to keep her legacy alive and to continue all the teaching work that she herself developed.

The Private Foundation Montserrat Caballé was constituted on December 4th,2019 and legally registered in the Registry of Foundations on June 12th, 2020.

The Foundation complies with all the requirements provided by Lay 49/2002 for the application of the tax regime of the contributions made to non-profit entities, provided for in the aforementioned law.

Purposes

The non-profit Foundation aims to promote cultural and musical activities of various kinds:

Help young talents through scholarships and study as well as help them to develop their artistic careers.

Continue organizing the Montserrat Caballé Singing Competition in an itinerant way both nationally and internationally.

Organize audio-visual sessions and traveling exhibitions to keep alive the memory and artistic trajectory of Montserrat Caballé until it is possible to create its own museum.

Organize events and concerts to promote the Foundation and raise funds for its purposes.
